Woking 1-1 Peterborough United

National League side Woking came from behind to force an FA Cup replay with League One Peterborough United and earn a place in the third-round draw.

Ryan Tafazolli fired Posh in front from close range after home keeper Nathan Baxter failed to hold Jack Marriott's header from Marcus Maddison's free-kick.

Woking missed the chance to level from the penalty spot when Alex Penny fouled Inih Effiong but Posh keeper Jonathan Bond turned Chez Isaac's penalty behind.

But the Cards earned a second chance at London Road seven minutes from time when Joe Ward fired home from 12 yards from Nathan Ralph's cross.

Ward almost sealed Woking's place in the third round for the first time since 1997 in stoppage time but his effort from the corner of the area hit the angle of post and bar.

Woking made light of the 50 places between them and Posh in the English football pyramid by dominating the game in terms of possession and chances, racking up 19 attempts at on goal.

Both sides needed replays to reach the second round, with Woking beating Bury 3-0 at Gigg Lane, while Peterborough thrashed Tranmere 5-0 at Prenton Park.

Woking manager Anthony Limbrick told BBC Final Score:

"We dominated the game from start to finish, we were the team who had all the chances, we missed a penalty, which was unfortunate, and I think they are very lucky to get a draw.

"We were the team who were pushing at the end and I can't ask for any more from our players. They were fantastic today.

"We absolutely went for them, they are a very good side but I thought we were unlucky not to win."
