"I don't want to win the Europa League. It would be a big disappointment for me. I don't want my players to feel the Europa League is our competition."Who said this? You've guessed it - Jose Mourinho in July 2013 Come on ANDERLECHT!!!!!!!!!!!!
183 Taranis.Michael Owen admitted he dived to win a penalty against Argentina a few years back . . . .
Lucky enough to have watched both ties on Italian TV. there was no doubt who was on top in the first tie. The return in Barcelona was lucky enough to have Dutch officials who allowed the game to flow freely but when it came to the crunch the ref made sure everyone knew who was in charge of the game. There were two Barca players who were lucky to stay on the field. All in all a great game!
For those berating Barcelona for cheating, didn't Juventus get fined and demoted to lower leagues a while ago for bribery or 'financial assistance' to referees? They are no saints. It's nice to see difference styles of teams playing in the semi-finals.
Maureen says shrek may return for the Anderlecht tie. He will probably blame him for their defeat then.
I think the mantra of possession is king is out of date. It is what you do with it when you have it that counts.Anyway, Barca should not have been in the quarter final, they cheated again to progress, Suarez is a proven diver. I hate that talented players cheat and FIFA and UEFA do nothing to stop it. Retrospective action should be brought in for diving, 4 match ban minimum
I can't stand any nations clubs cheating or diving so no need to bring up nationality. It's all about playing a good game and winning or losing with integrity and honesty. If a team wishes to cheat then they will be remembered for all the wrong reasons. Football is now a business and all about the money so who cares about the results. It's all about the revenue. I feel sorry for genuine fans.
#183 The list is endless....what, all 3 of them??? Anyway, in answer to your question - Jack (The Gnome) Wilshere has been conning people for years that he's a good footballer
Foreigners have always cheated in football: Maradona’s Hand of God in ’86, Henry’s Hand of Frog v Ireland in 2009, Suarez’s Hand of Dog v Ghana in 2010, the list is endless. I defy anyone to name one English player who’s cheated SUCCESSFULLY in a high-profile football match. They’re no good at it. 😉
Only interesting when at knockout stages.£££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££££?
Nice to see the improvement in Suarez - he's now eating grass instead of opponents!
