Great strike by Shaqiri but 4 league goals all season is a poor return for a player of his quality.
15. Knighton Place"Is it just me or does Mark Hughes look a bit like Dave Allen the late great comedian ?"I've no idea if you look like Dave Allen as I can't see you.Stoke have a lot more flair now than they're given credit for. They're not so dour & don't rely on long throw-ins for goal threat. Shak is a flair player & so is Astronautovic though he could improve his finishing.
@markthelegendkidYou are one sad individual, aren't you? Writing your comments out so that you can be first every time. See, a smart troll would actually do something to get everyone angry. You just waste your time and get very little success. Anyways, I hope you feel like a big man because you annoyed some people on the internet.
Shaqiri's hips don't lie
Stoke in no danger of going down but same can't be said for Hull. Pity is that if both sides exited the PL the overall standard of football in that league would probably go up.Sad, but in my opinion, true.
Is it just me or does Mark Hughes look a bit like Dave Allen the late great comedian ?Also why does the Hull boss keep looking down when he is interviewed all the time, is it because he is having a peek at the championship in case they end up going down ?
Stoke on top for the first 15 minutes. Hull and in particular Niasse missed some sitters. Jakupovic pulled off a brilliant save just before Shaquiri hit a worldy. Still Hull had plenty of chances to equalise.Pity Huddlestone started to run out of steam after serving 3 match ban, fully fit I think we might have got a deserved draw.Aranautovic and Shaquiri are a different class for Stoke
@12, Given, Bardsley, Johnson and Ireland out of contract in the summer and of those I would only consider extending Johnson - if he can prove his fitness. You are correct though, the defence needs some thought, especially if we are to persist with the 3 centre-halves thing that currently seems fashionable and/or lose Ryan. Can't see the latter happening, though.
Much needed win. Hughes needs to get the balance right next season. Old guard have rescued us this season it seems, trouble is they are getting older and question marks have to be asked as to whether they can do the same next season. Needs a shake up definitely over the summer. Personally, I still think he defence needs a rethink when considering the way Stoke play these days.
16/18pts at home and 1/18 away, what a bizarre record for Silva. But they're in a better position now than they were when he came in. Think they're more likely than not to stay up, especially with Sunderland at home to play, but very much undecided at this point.
