Brighton have confirmed George Parris will remain as interim manager for the upcoming FA Women's Super League Spring Series.

Parris took caretaker charge in April after James Marrs was dismissed following a disciplinary process.

Ex-Albion midfielder Parris, 52, guided the side to promotion to Women's Super League Two this summer after beating Sporting Club Albion in a play-off.

Amy Merricks has been appointed as assistant manager on a permanent basis.

The 2017 Spring Series is a one-off, transitional competition before the WSL switches to a winter calendar.
