Connor Wickham: Crystal Palace forward to have knee surgery
Crystal Palace forward Connor Wickham will have an operation on an anterior cruciate ligament knee injury.
Wickham was taken off during Palace's 5-4 defeat at Swansea City on Saturday.
Palace said a timeframe for the 23-year-old's return to action will be confirmed once his rehabilitation starts following the surgery.
"Everyone at the club wishes Connor a speedy recovery and we look forward to seeing him back in action as soon as possible," a Palace statement said.
Palace, who are 17th in the Premier League table and only out of the relegation zone on goal difference, host Southampton on Saturday.
