Sheffield United have loaned midfielder James Wallace to Tranmere Rovers until 8 January.

Wallace, 24, has already spent time at Prenton Park both on a temporary and permanent basis, playing 60 games and scoring four goals.

He made one appearance for first club Everton, joined the Blades in 2014, and had a loan spell at Shrewsbury under now Rovers boss Micky Mellon.

"He will certainly help improve the quality," Mellon said.

"I can assure everyone that his mentality is to come here to help us win matches and play well."

The player will be eligible for selection against Gateshead on Tuesday.
