Former St Johnstone captain Dave Mackay has been named manager of League Two Stirling Albion.

Martyn Corrigan had been working as caretaker boss following Stuart McLaren's departure in September.

But he will now be replaced by Mackay, 35, who had to end his playing career in September because of a hip injury.

The Binos lost to league leaders Forfar last Saturday, their first defeat under Corrigan, and they now sit eighth in the table.
