496.Can you elaborate sir.
Rooney is shot ...simple as ...Sturridge plays as it if a five a side ...no passion ...and Cahill ....he is as bad as any international centre half out there ...basically we are workmanlike ..at best ..with no central defence ...it's going to be years until the next crop of youngsters / talent emerges ....let's give youth a chance ASAP ..as most of this lot are very very poor ...
I noticed the pundits on ITV suggested that the noisy neighbours were unlucky in the first half due to them not taking their chances.Unlucky! There is nothing unlucky in poor finishing.Yes 3-0 flattered England but over the course of the qualifying tournament luck evens itself out, England may play better in another game but not get their rewards but that's football
What the managers said:Southgate 'yes sir no sir 3 bags full sir'Strachan 'eerrrrjjjjjimmydkdnclncladdysssdghgMcdguhsjockjwwwwhITVjobsswww'
England are not unbleatable
Poor Scotland lost in the rugby to, never mind at leasrt there's Andy Murray
Strachan was brave enough to pick a progressive side for potentially Scotland's hardest fixture and the plyers responded. Cooler finishing could have nicked a point. The question is why Strachan failed to play as attacking sides against Lithuania or Slovakia.Strachan must now realise that man for man marking at set pieces is vital.
Good idea from @484Top tier for proper teams like Germany.Second tier for the pretenders like England who promise much and never deliver. And a third tier for the rest.
Ah, well... it was a good win for England, and deserved - but not earth-shatteringly so. Scotland were well into the match for 60 minutes or more, and might conceivably have been ahead at one point with better finishing. I see they actually managed more shots than England, surprisingly enough. Both sides have work to do...
Has the BBC got a campaign to get Southgate appointed permanent England manager?
Tradition is slowly being killed in football these days. I turned the telly off when i saw Scotland in pink. Shame on them for giving in to... who? So many teams doing it now when colours do not clash at all.
@484 totally agree scots should be in a big group with san marino/malta/faroes islands/gibralta/ etc etc and the top one..prob faroe islands goes in play off with a proper country....must b awful to know ur gonna lose most games before you don your little skirt and matching pink top..plus englands worse team in my memory with a part time manager battered them 3-0 doesn't bode well...
As a Scot it would not matter if Mickey Mouse was Manager with players who would not get into some Pub Teams what can any one person achieve I agree with some posts he has relied on Englands Championship players they are there for a reason , I am old enough to have been at the 9---3 drubbing so this is not soo bad
There really needs to be a second tier set of tournaments for the likes of Scotland a sort of EL to the CL, it's unfair that "countries" such as Scotland and San Marino have next to no chance of seeing their national side in a major footballing tournament
Phil McNulty always writes garbage but I think it was a good performance from Scotland, but they just need to finish. On sacking the manager, well who are you going to get that's any better? The selection pool isnt great and I think Strachan did the best possible with limited resources.
England were rubbish, but it was still enough to beat Scotland.
@247. Macca2 on 11 NovI don't care about the fact we're playing England - it's just another mediocre team that we should be beating. Not a big game for Scotland at all - they should give some of the kids a run out. We should still bag 3 points. LolLol
