As a City fan, just back from 3 amazing days in friendly Copenhagen, you cannot fault this squad. Past 12 months been incredible, never to be repeated, but who cares, living the dream. COYB.
Any points gained away from home are good ones. As a neutral I would love it if Leicester went far in the competition. I get more excited when they have a Champions League game than the other 3 English clubs.
"bitter much. Explain how they were lucky last season?"Number of goals scored/conceded disproportionate to chances created/conceded in several games."You can't be lucky over 38 games"You absolutely can, in fact the net average over 38 games is over 9% (3.5 games - 7 points) and the maximum over 20% (15 points) - and that's without considering how unlucky your rivals may have been..
As a sunderland fan im proud of leicester sick of so called big clubs every season ie man utd arsenal chelsea now man city a money brought success clubs shows what can be done hope you keep on going you were in our sorry position 2:seasons ago good luck from wearside
@64 What's not to be happy about? We're a nobody little East Midlands team, who just happened to win the Premier league last season. There's 28 games to go. We might well be challenging for the top four. Realistically, we'll probably finish around the middle of the table. Thanks for admiring our squad. They are brilliant, aren't they? I'm sure they'd all walk into one of the big money clubs.
Leicester will probably do quite well when they meet one of the big clubs in the KO rounds as they're not easy to beat. Certainly can't see them folding as badly as Man City did against Barca in 1st leg. It's no mean achievement to do so well in the CL for the first time against teams which, though by no means among the elite, have got a lot more experience in Europe than Leicester.
fat-_mick @ 71Leicester were the best of a bad bunch last season. A good manager needs to be consistent.
Leicester have an easier group because they are top seeds. Unlike Arsenal, Man city and Spurs they are actually Champions. I can't understand why UEFA haven't given Ranieri coach of the year, having a short list that includes mid table managers like Klopp is an insult to Ranieri's brilliant achievement.
Living the dream #Fearless :-)
Those saying spurs has an easier group, don't know their football. Leicester's group was however no give me. They have done well to qualify and to be honest they had earned an easier draw due to the fact they are the champs.
Thrilling stuff.....anyone remember / miss the old European cup knock out format ? The group stage is ad nauseam now. I guess the money men love all these games. Well done Leicester in any case.
Great result for leicester i really hope they go all the way to the final and win it and theres no reason why they cant.
Can't believe there are so many Leicester bashers. For those who say they were lucky last year, really!!. You can't be lucky over 38 games where you play all the other teams home and away. The best team (with consistency) wins the league. Every other team in history can point to the odd game in 38 where they had the rub of the green. So all previous Champs lucky to? Cut LCFC some slack.
Fantastic result for Leicester, well done great campaign in Europe so far.
Leicester fans shouldn't be happy about their season so far. They have one of the better squads in the PL and should be challenging for top 4. They draw out results but seem only concerned about CL but they aren't a good cup side. I don't recall 1 good cup run from them. For me they have put all their eggs in the wrong basket.
Wilkinson BOn the basis that no team has ever gone four games with all clean sheets prior to LCFC, I'd say it's a pretty safe bet no team has gone the whole group without conceding!
This is the end for Leicester
Not one mention in the article about the penalty that should have been given to Copenhagen. If you're going to report on a game do so in an unbiased way!
