Dean Keates: Wrexham players will be given 'chance' says manager
Wrexham manager Dean Keates hopes to bring loan players into the club but says existing squad members will have a chance to impress.
Keates has been appointed permanent manager after a spell as caretaker following the sacking of Gary Mills.
"It's a chance for the lads to stake their claim," Keates told BBC Wales Sport.
"We'll look at them closely and see what they're like and whether they want to be a part of us going forward."
Keates added: "Whether it's a first team game, reserve game or training - whenever you pull on a top that's got the badge on you need to give everything.
"If that's your attitude and you are going to buy into it, you'll still be here at the football club."
Defender Sean Newton, who started the season as club captain, has joined York City on loan until January with a view to a permanent move when the transfer window reopens.
