Reds win to deny Blues chance to go top

Cliftonville beat Belfast rivals Linfield 2-1 at Solitude thanks to a James Knowles penalty and a winning goal from Jay Donnelly.

Paul Smyth had drawn the Blues level but they were unable to find a way past in-form Reds goalkeeper to earn a point.

Linfield remain two points adrift of leaders Crusaders at the summit of the table, while Cliftonville move into fourth place in the table, level on points with third-placed Coleraine.
