Jon Worsnop: Chester goalkeeper leaves National League side

Chester are 15th in the National League after 12 games

Chester have announced that goalkeeper Jon Worsnop has left by mutual consent.

The 33-year-old former Bradford City trainee moved to the Blues in 2014 from Alfreton Town and made 83 appearances for the National League side.

He played four times this season, but on-loan Walsall keeper Liam Roberts has started three of their past four games.

Chester, who have not disclosed the reasons for Worsnop's exit, have kept four straight clean sheets - their best run since 2002.
