Chester FC have signed winger James Akintunde and midfielder Wade Joyce ahead of the National League season.

Joyce, 22, has previously played for Oldham Athletic, St Johnstone and Barnsley and is the son of Manchester United Under-21 manager Warren Joyce.

Akintunde, 20, joined Cambridge United in 2013 but was released at the end of last season, after two loan spells.

Both players spent a period on trial with Chester and earned a deal after impressing manager Jon McCarthy.
