Wheway Cup: Jersey champions St Paul's to face Guernsey champions Northerners

St Paul's
St Paul's beat North 3-1 in May to retain the Upton, having beaten the Guernsey champions 9-0 in the same fixture in 2015

The champions of Jersey and Guernsey will face each other in the quarter-finals of the Wheway Cup.

St Paul's will take on Guernsey Northerners in a repeat of May's Upton final in the Jersey FA-run event.

Vale Rec will face Jersey Portuguese, while Rovers will take on either Jersey Wanderers or Rozel Rovers.

Holders St Ouen go to Trinity in the qualifying round and could meet Jersey Scottish in the last eight, if they beat St Peter at the same stage.

The competition pits the top three Priaulx League sides from Guernsey against Jersey's Premiership clubs.

In Jersey's Le Riche Cup - for all Premiership and Championship sides - St Ouen will face Scottish in the pick of the first round ties, while Rozel Rovers go to holders St Paul's.

There is also a mouth-watering tie in the last eight of the inter-parish Trinity Shield, as holders St Brelade play host to St Clement, while in the women's Colin Welsh Trophy new club St Lawrence go to St Peter in the qualifying round.
