Lincoln Red Imps hold a 1-0 advantage over Celtic

Lincoln Red Imps or Celtic will face Zalgiris Vilnius of Lithuania or Astana of Kazakhstan in the third qualifying round of the Champions League.

The Scottish champions trail Lincoln Red Imps 1-0 following Tuesday's second qualifying round first leg in Gibraltar.

German side Hertha Berlin await the winners of Hibernian's Europa League second qualifying round tie with Brondby, who lead Hibs 1-0.

Aberdeen, 3-0 up against Ventspils, could face Maribor or Levski Sofia while Hearts, tied at 0-0 with Birkirkara, will play Krasnodar if they progress.

Rangers confident of Dodoo signature

Rangers manager Mark Warburton is hopeful of adding forward Joe Dodoo to his squad next week.

The 21-year-old has been training with the Ibrox club and is out of contract with Leicester City, although the Foxes would be due compensation.

Skacel's Scottish return

Rudi Skacel could join his third Scottish club

Former Hearts and Dundee United midfielder Rudi Skacel will join up with the Raith Rovers squad, with manager Gary Locke hoping to sign the Czech for the coming season.

Skacel, 36, won the Scottish Cup twice with Hearts.

"Rudi is a fantastic professional," Locke told the Raith website.

"He is very fit naturally, and once he gains his sharpness, I hope we can persuade him to sign for the club because he will be a first class role model for the whole squad, that's for sure."

Rovers meet Cove Rangers in the Scottish League Cup on Friday evening.

Revamped League Cup begins

That Cove Rangers v Raith Rovers match is one of three group games on the opening night of the newly-formatted tournament.

Elsewhere, it's Airdrieonians v Partick Thistle and Arbroath v Dundee United, with 13 more matches on Saturday.
