Worst job in sport,is the job of the South African Rugby Manager.Cause Politics,Race and the Stellenbosch Mafia have all a say in what happens and who must be picked for the Springboks Team.
Normally, in any organisation, when failure follows failure as predictably as night follows day, those at the top go. The answer is always straightforward in these cases and it is only a question of a willingness to see the obvious and then act. The FA should be abolished and replaced by a governing body for English football that is fit for purpose. This is a task for HM Government to perform.
Is EU to blame ?World Champions in 1966, even better team apparently in 1970 but beaten by WG after Bobby C rested by Sir Alf.1973 joined EEC, 1974 & 1978 England, Wales and NI DNQ, Scotland had to carry burden of UK.2016 now due to leave EU, Wales/Cymru soaring, freed from shackles ?
What is there to be proud about? You're off form so the crowd boos you. It wasn't a settled team of game plan before the tournament and when one of our leading strikers is walking up the aircraft catwalk, its all over the papers on how he's leaving his club, championship winner or not. And then, Alan Shearer has a lot to say about tactics and loyalty, but his time at Newcastle got them relegated.
If the England football team belted out the National Anthem like other countries and the England rugby team, with enthusiasm and energy that would be a good, rousing start. Most of them could barely open their mouths. It is not a difficult one to learn.
with a good manager the team in a few years could be great lots of good young players Kane stones rashford dier butland lingard shaw ali wilshere if fitThey should all be made regulars now in preparation for future tournaments and to let team get used to playing with each other most important thing is a back four that doesn't change
"The public profile of being England's football manager is often put on a par with the Prime Minister, "For God's sake, get a grip, the only people who think that are the BBC who are obsessed with sport
Welsh Manager.World class Welsh Player. World Class result.Joe Allen, Joe Ledley, Ashley Williams, Aaron Ramsey, Gareth Bale, Roson-Kanu, Vokes, Aneurin Bevan, Tom Jones, Max Boyce, Rhod Gilbert, Neil & Glynis Kinnock, Dame Shirley Bassey, Windy Miller you boys did a magnificent performance.
Well Done Magnificent Wales! Goal of the Tournament Robson-Kanu
Where is this talent I keep hearing about? Players who show boat in the Premier League where it's the foreign imports who stand out? Year on year failure in the champions league?Maybe it would help to accept our, at best average, level and appoint a manager accordingly! Paying millions for an overseas coach won't succeed a third time! But if I say Bruce or Alladyce watch the reaction!!
Dear FAI understand the job is so awful no one wants it. Kindly accept this as my formal application. I know nothing whatsoever about football so will be able to continue the fine England tradition. I have a first rate ability to make excuses for dismal failure and am fluent in b*****ks speakMy big game strategy will be to select players born with an `r` in the month. Yours
JONNY 222Martin O Neil is pure class, you're so right, by far my favourite manager bar none.... My Villa hasn't been the same since he made his feelings known and went on his merry way. Best of luck to him and his. Villa will be back next year and will end up champions the coming season to end up in champions league place the following season under the new MON, Robbie de Matteo..... UTV!!!!!
The England manager job would be a relatively normal job if the moronic English press etc didn't continuously big up a team that has achieved absolutely nothing in 50 years....
ive watched the national side from 1974 to current compete or should i say turn up for tournaments following some dodgy or risky qualifications.....we as the public see the team a believe in them and hope they will succeed.....however i do not see or believe the team have the same belief..gasgoine cried...when he knew he would not be part of the team...did we see hart show emotion..no.untalented
The issue is that English footballers are massively overpaid and massively under talented. The only things they care about are money, booze and sex. They care about their club only whilst it pays them. As for playing for England, they couldn't care less. No passion, no pride, just self serving greed. And that is why I sadly gave up on the England Football team many years ago.
Sorry to say this but England had a world class manager(Capello) in South Africa when the fans booed the players off. The players (including Rooney) were abysmal. When are these overpaid prima donnas going to stop moaning and start earning their over-inflated salaries.
As long as Einstein's definition of insanity persists in the English game there is no answer despite the Talksport/606/pub bores, who always seem to have the solution. We've had this for years now, when is the penny ever going to drop? I gave up on England a long, long time ago. Follow rugby, we have a bit of success there where failures have been turned around in last year.
