Mainz and Nigeria defender Leon Balogun has had his three-match suspension for violent conduct reduced by a game.
The German Football Association disciplinary committee ruled that Balogun deliberately kneed Eintracht Frankfurt's Carlos Zambrano in the 89th minute of Sunday's Bundesliga match.
The 27-year-old won his appeal with the German FA's disciplinary committee.
It means Balogun is now available for Mainz's final Bundesliga game against visiting Hertha Berlin on 14 May.
Match referee Felix Zwayer did not see the infringement but it was caught by the television cameras.
