Franck Ribery celebrates scoring for Bayern Munich
Franck Ribery is approaching his ninth anniversary at Bayern Munich

Leaders Bayern Munich are closing in on a fourth straight Bundesliga title after Franck Ribery's volley earned them victory over Eintracht Frankfurt.

Ribery, 32, beat Lukas Hradecky from the edge of the area with a sublime finish after the keeper had initially saved a shot from Mario Goetze.

It was his second goal of an injury-hit season and briefly put Bayern eight points clear with six matches left.

Second-placed Borussia Dortmund beat Werder Bremen 3-2 later on Saturday.

Bayern, who face Werder Bremen in the semi-finals of the German Cup on 19 April, entertain Benfica in the quarter-finals of the Champions League on Tuesday.

Dortmund guaranteed a top-two finish as they came from behind to beat Werder Bremen and close the gap on Bayern back to five points.

Struggling Bremen led 2-1 after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had earlier scored his 33rd goal of the season.

But substitutes Shinji Kagawa and Adrian Ramos both scored in the last 12 minutes to give Dortmund victory.

Dortmund play at home to Liverpool in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final tie next Thursday night.
