Dominic Samuel: Gillingham extend Reading striker's loan deal
Gillingham have extended the loan deal of Reading striker Dominic Samuel until 28 January.
The 21-year-old has scored four goals in nine appearances since joining the League One side in mid-November.
"We will be in discussions at the end of the month with Reading about where it goes thereafter," Gills boss Justin Edinburgh told BBC Radio Kent.
"They can see him vastly improving and are mindful he needs to play. It is great news for us."
Central defender Deji Oshilaja, however, has returned to parent club Cardiff City following the end of his loan spell at Priestfield, but Edinburgh is hopeful the 22-year-old could return to Kent.
"It is not dead in the water as they have one or two injury problems they hope will clear up," Edinburgh said.
"I spoke with Russell Slade on the phone and he has assured me there is only one place Deji will go back out on loan and that is here."
Meanwhile, Edinburgh says "everyone has his price", with in-form midfielder Bradley Dack expected to attract attention during the transfer window after scoring 13 goals in 29 appearances this season.
"We have not received bids for any players but that may change," the 46-year-old added.
"The chairman and I both know where we stand and what we are looking to achieve here. I am not silly enough to say no player will leave this club.
"We want to keep this young group together and achieve something this season, but money talks."
