Crewe moved off the bottom of League One after claiming a point at fellow strugglers Fleetwood Town.
Crewe's Ryan Lowe opened the scoring as he fired low into the far corner in the first five minutes.
But David Ball equalised soon after, as he shot past Ben Garratt from a tight angle after Jimmy Ryan's pass.
Both Lowe and ball came close to getting a second for their respective sides, while Eggert Jonsson headed against the woodwork for Fleetwood.
