Lazio 0-2 Juventus

Paulo Dybala
Dybala played a big role in Juve's opener as his cross was deflected in for an own goal

Paulo Dybala's spectacular volley crowned victory for Juventus at Lazio.

The 22-year-old Argentina forward flicked up Mario Mandzukic's pass, took a touch on his knee and fired home from 20 yards to give Juve a two-goal lead.

Dybala had earlier played a key role in his side's opener, drilling a cross across goal that Lazio's Santiago Gentiletti deflected into his own net.

Juve are now fifth in the Serie A table after a poor start to their title defence while Lazio stay 10th.

Massimiliano Allegri's side took just five points from their first six games but victory in Rome was their fifth in a row, and they now trail leaders Napoli by only four points.

Reports in the Italian mediaexternal-link before the match had suggested losing to Juve could cost Lazio manager Stefano Pioli his job, given the home defeat represents their fifth reverse in six games.

Over the weekend, second-placed Inter Milan host Genoa and third-placed Roma travel to Torino on Saturday, while Napoli play at Torino on Sunday.
