Braintree Town 1-1 Barrow

Dan Pilkington came off the bench to rescue a draw for Barrow against Braintree in the National League.

The hosts took the lead after the break when Simeon Akinola fired a powerful strike past keeper Joel Dixon.

But, with nine minutes remaining, substitute Pilkington struck across goal to level the score and secure a point for the Bluebirds.

Paddy Lacey had gone close for the visitors early on, while Sean Marks and Andy Cook tested the Barrow goal.
