Joe Cardle scored a hat-trick to fire Dunfermline to the top of League One after a comfortable win over previous leaders Forfar.
Cardle swept Michael Paton's cross from the right past Rab Douglas.
And he doubled the advantage when his shot squeezed past Douglas.
Cardle missed a penalty, but made up for it when he converted a Faissal El Bakhtaoui pass, before Andy Geggan wrapped up victory when he headed home Ryan Wallace's corner.
