Birmingham City: Nicolai Brock-Madsen signs for Blues
Birmingham City have signed striker Nicolai Brock-Madsen on a four-year deal from Danish side Randers.
The 22-year-old, 6ft 3ins forward has been signed for a fee believed to be in the region of £500,000, with possible add-ons taking it up to £1m.
The Denmark Under-21 international scored last Sunday in his final appearance for Randers, who are managed by former Blues defender Colin Todd.
Brock-Madsen has spent the last five seasons with his home-town club.
Speaking after Blues' 1-1 draw with Derby on Friday, manager Gary Rowett told BBC Sport: "We're hoping to get international clearance for him early in the week.
"He's one that came up on the radar, who we've watched for a while. He's 6ft 3ins, mobile and aggressive, which will add to what we've got up top as we've always wondered what would happen if Clayton Donaldson picked up an injury.
"He was on the verge of signing for a Russian club, who offered him a lot bigger package, but he took one look at the facilities we've got at our training ground at Wast Hills and he looked like a kid in a sweet shop.
"He's not cost us a fortune and he's a young, hungry player desperate to do well. I'd always rather have that than an ageing player stepping down for one last season."
