Aman Verma's injury-time header earned Kidderminster a draw as they twice came from behind against last season's beaten play-off finalists Grimsby.
New signing Padraig Amond put Grimsby ahead before the break, only for Reece Styche to level on the hour after a poor clearance.
Six minutes later Andy Monkhouse restored the lead, poking home after Toto Nsiala's nod-down.
That seemed enough, but Verma headed in Jared Hodgkiss's cross late on.
Grimsby Town manager Paul Hurst told BBC Radio Humberside:
"It is was it is. We take a point, it's a shame in front of that fantastic following that we had that we're not celebrating a win, but we move onto the next one.
"I thought we had five really good scenarios for really good chances and a penalty shout and only took one of them. So from that point of view, I thought we did OK, but we can certainly play better.
"No disrespect to anyone and the fans and I understand they want to see goals but it's alright scoring them at one end, you always give yourself a far better chance of winning games if you're keeping clean sheets and we've only kept a couple through pre-season and against teams in the league below. "
