Exeter City defender Jordan Moore-Taylor has undergone surgery after breaking his right foot for the third time in a year.
The 21-year-old centre-back initially picked up the injury during the club's tour to Brazil last summer, forcing him to miss the first month of the season.
He broke the same metatarsal bone in October during a Johnstone's Paint Trophy loss at Coventry City.
Exeter hope the operation will ensure the injury does not happen again.
Moore-Taylor will miss the start of the new season as a result of the surgery, with the player being in a cast for least six weeks.
