Four-game ban for sand-throwing Ivory Coast beach keeper

CAF handed out $85,000 of fines in its latest round of disciplinary decisions announced on Tuesday

Ivory Coast goalkeeper Brou Bernard has been banned for four games for throwing sand at officials during a beach football tournament.

Bernard was fined $5,000 (£3,250) by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) after the defeat to Madagascar in last month's African Championship.

Nigerian goalkeeper Tejiri Rhiogbere was banned for a year for spitting at an assistant referee.

Rhiogbere faces a worldwide ban after CAF forwarded the case to Fifa.
