Relegated Yeovil Town have agreed a new two-year contract with manager Paul Sturrock.

Sturrock, 58, was appointed Glovers boss in April but had never signed a contract until now.

Yeovil were relegated from League One in Sturrock's first game in charge, but lost only two of five matches under the former Plymouth and Southend boss.

"I have got a big job to do here at Yeovil and it's something I am enjoying immensely," he told the club's website.external-link

"We have been in conversation with at least six players and I am extremely confident that they will sign for the club."

Sturrock had been given an advisory role at Conference side Torquay United prior to joining Yeovil, but left the club four days later to replace Terry Skiverton as Glovers boss.
