Former Arsenal winger Sanchez Watt has been released by Colchester United, along with striker Jabo Ibehre and defender Kevin Lokko.
Sanchez, 24, joined the U's in 2013 and scored five goals in 25 appearances this season for the League One club.
"Unfortunately, we didn't see his true ability enough," manager Tony Humes told the club website.
"We had to make the decision to let him go and try and fulfill that potential somewhere else."
Ibehre, 32, had loan spells at Oldham and Barnsley this season, while Lokko, 19, did not make a first-team appearance for the club.
Meanwhile, Humes remains hopeful of persuading captain David Fox to extend his second spell with Colchester.
The 31-year-old made 33 appearances this term and scored in consecutive matches in March against Crawley and Yeovil, as Colchester escaped relegation.
"We have been speaking with David and hope that he is with us again next season," Humes added.
"He was a real leader for us, on and off the pitch, and is just the type of player we want here at the club.
"First of all, he is a talented footballer, but he also sets a great example to the young players here in terms of how to train, play, and live like a professional footballer."
Colchester announced last week that captain Magnus Okuonghae was to be released.
