Guernsey FC's hopes of making the Isthmian League Division One South play-offs took a huge blow after a 5-2 loss at Folkestone Invicta.
The club's record goalscorer Ross Allen scored both of Guernsey's goals, his first for almost a month.
The defeat, which was Guernsey's third in succession, means the club are now 11 points off the final play-off place with eight games left this season.
Fellow play-off chasers Worthing, Three Bridges and Whitstable Town all won.
Guernsey had won nine of their previous 11 games before their current slump.
