Derby are considering signing another striker on loan as cover for injured duo Darren Bent and Chris Martin.

On-loan ex-England forward Bent is expected to be out for up to a month with a hamstring tear sustained in Saturday's 2-0 loss at Fulham.

And top scorer Martin, who has 16 Championship goals this season, also has a hamstring injury and is likely to be out for another two weeks.

Coach Paul Simpson told BBC Radio Derby the Rams had been "making some calls".

He said: "We have talked about the possibility of bringing in cover but the options are very limited."

Bent, 30, has scored seven goals since joining on loan from Aston Villa in January.
