Shrewsbury Town 1-1 Cambridge United

Sullay Kaikai
Sullay Kaikai, on loan from Premier League side Crystal Palace, has scored four times this season.

Shrewsbury Town slipped off the top of the League Two table after substitute Sullay Kaikai's injury-time equaliser rescued a point for Cambridge United.

Tyrone Barnett hit the bar for Shrewsbury before Bobby Grant's low 18-yard shot put the hosts ahead.

Jordan Slew and Matt Harrold both went close for the U's while the hosts again struck the woodwork through Grant.

But the visitors deservedly levelled in the fifth minute of stoppage time when Kaikai finished calmly inside the box.

Micky Mellon's side drop to second owing to Burton Albion's 1-0 win at Hartlepool.

Cambridge, who fall one place to 17th, now have just one victory in 10 league games.

Shrewsbury Town manager Micky Mellon told BBC Radio Shropshire:

"Not to take all three points is very disappointing - but the way other results have gone we will take a very good point earned here.

"At 1-0 we always knew they could get back into it and they did. We just couldn't get that second goal to see us through, but we must move on quickly.

"The table is looking fantastic, but of course we are disappointed to concede a last-minute goal."
