James Hayter secured three points for struggling Yeovil with an injury-time winner against 10-man Oldham.
Carl Winchester rounded off a flowing move when he drilled into the bottom corner for the Latics.
Joel Grant turned home from close range after Jake Kean could only parry Adam Morgan's long range effort onto a post.
And after the visitors had full-back Brian Wilson sent off for a second yellow card, Hayter pounced on a loose ball after Grant's run into the box.
In bright sunshine in Somerset, both teams, who have caretaker managers, had difficulty with the conditions as a strong breeze ran across the pitch throughout the game.
The hosts had the better of their early exchanges and midfielder Morgan turned in but the goal was ruled out for offside.
Stephen Arthurworrey and Gozie Ugwu also both forced Kean into smart, close-range saves, while Rhys Murphy had an injury-time header ruled out for a foul on goalkeeper Scott Loach.
The result means Oldham sit 15th in League One, four points from the play-offs, while the Glovers are now three points from safety at the bottom of the table.
