Match ends, Carlisle United 2, Wycombe Wanderers 3.
Wycombe survived a Carlisle comeback to get back to winning ways in the race for promotion from League Two.
Aaron Pierre bundled in before Fred Onyedinma and Matt McClure fired home to give the Chairboys a 3-0 lead.
Carlisle responded immediately and pulled a goal back when Kyle Dempsey curled in after a short corner routine.
Danny Grainger scored a penalty after Alfie Mawson fouled Charlie Wyke to make it 3-2 before substitute Mark Beck was sent off for fouling Sido Jombati.
The result strengthens Wycombe's automatic promotion hopes after two defeats, while Carlisle's third straight defeat leaves them two points above the relegation places.
Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth told BBC Three Counties Radio:
"I thought the referee made it interesting towards the end. The last 10 minutes saw one of the softest penalties I've seen for a while.
"All in all, we've come here and we've set up to play attacking football and I thought we played really well today.
"OK we've let two in, and they're both avoidable, but it's a great three points. It gets us right back on track.
"Matt (McClure) is a goalscorer, I've said all along. Sometimes strikers go through these little periods, but I think it's important to stick by people and show faith."
