Fleetwood Town have signed striker Ashley Hunter from non-league side Ilkeston.
The Northern Premier League Premier Division side said they have received a "sizeable fee" for the forward, who was released by Burton last summer.
The 19-year-old will initially join the development squad.
"Ashley is a young player with a lot of potential. We have watched him a few times and we liked what we saw," said boss Graham Alexander.
"He is a forward and he has lots of pace. He is very skilful and he likes to get on the ball.
"We have seen enough of Ashley to think he can get into the first team."
