Match ends, Scunthorpe United 2, Crewe Alexandra 1.
Scunthorpe continued their revival with a third win in four games as they overcame Crewe at Glanford Park.
The Iron opened the scoring when Luke Williams, on loan from Middlesbrough, converted Lyle Taylor's cross.
Former Scunthorpe loanee Nicky Ajose tapped in the equaliser after James Baillie drove the ball across the box.
Miguel Llera applied the finishing touch from close range to win the game for Scunthorpe following Liam O'Neil's surging run into the box.
Defeat left Crewe at the foot of the League One table, six points adrift Scunthorpe in 19th place, two points above the relegation places.
Scunthorpe manager Mark Robins told BBC Radio Humberside:
"It was a really tough game. We spoke during the week and we were under no illusions about how tough it was going to be.
"It wasn't really until the second half that we got to grips with them. We were a little bit laboured and looked a little bit jaded if I'm honest.
"We started off and gave them too much time to pass the ball. That hasn't been what we've been working on this week, but sometimes that's what happens."
