Match ends, Norwich City 3, Brighton and Hove Albion 3.
Substitute Gary Hooper ended Norwich City's two-match losing run with a late equaliser in a see-saw draw with Brighton at Carrow Road.
Norwich, who bounced back from Bruno Saltor's early goal to lead through Jonny Howson and Russell Martin, found themselves 3-2 behind late on.
Albion had levelled through Kazenga LuaLua before Adrian Colunga put the Seagulls ahead from the penalty spot.
However, Hooper swooped with five minutes left to snatch a point.
The Canaries had Bradley Johnson dismissed in stoppage time, as the match ended in a flurry of activity.
Norwich boss Neil Adams has seen his position under scrutiny in recent matches, notably with the arrival of Mike Phelan as assistant coach and a slide down the table into 10th place, and the character shown by his players to acquire a point will have been a boost.
Brighton are one of the division's draw specialists, with nine in their 18 games so far, but they overcame a close opening to take the lead when Saltor headed beyond John Ruddy from a Colunga cross.
That goal provided a wake-up call for Norwich, who responded when Nathan Redmond's dazzling footwork created the space for a cross that Howson headed in before the break.
Howson might have had a second when he shot over the bar before half time, but a captain Martin spectacular, struck from 30 yards eventually did put Norwich ahead on his 200th appearance.
With the majority of possession and chances, Norwich looked to be coasting but LuaLua's equaliser, curled into the top corner from inside the box, set the nerves jangling.
City's worst fears were realised when Jos Hooiveld fouled Colunga inside the box, and the Brighton winger converted the spot kick to give the visitors an unlikely lead.
With time ticking down, it looked as though the home side were headed for a third straight defeat, but Hooper pounced on a loose ball inside the box on 85 minutes and smashed in low to ease the pressure around Carrow Road.
Norwich manager Neil Adams:
"A point is a point but it should have been three.
"The critical point of the game was when we were leading 2-1. We had three or four chances to put the game to bed but we didn't take them.
"If we had gone 3-1 ahead, as we should have done, I am sure we would have gone on to win the game comfortably but we didn't put the game to bed and we were punished for it."
Brighton manager Sami Hyypia:
"I sure my colleague will say his side should have won the game.
"But I think all the goals we conceded could have been avoided. Even their second, which was a brilliant strike, would not have happened if we had cleared the ball properly, as we should have.
"We were guilty of lapses in concentration and they cost us. It's just a case now of analysing the game and seeing how we can do better."
