Carl Lamb: Alfreton Town sign striker after Chesterfield exit

Alfreton are in the Conference Premier relegation zone but have won two of their last three league games

Conference Premier side Alfreton Town have signed Carl Lamb following the striker's exit from Chesterfield.

The 30-year-old joined the Spireites on non-contract terms in September after a spell in Australia, but did not play in the first team for the League One side.

Lamb, who started on the bench for his new side on Tuesday, began his career with Liverpool and then joined Chester.

Stints with non-league clubs followed before the forward moved to Australia in 2012.
