Chesterfield have signed winger Gboly Ariyibi on a one-year deal following his release by Leeds in the summer.
The 19-year-old left Elland Road at the end of last season and impressed during a trial with the Spireites.
USA-born Ariyibi played twice for Leeds and made two further appearances during a loan spell at Tranmere last term.
"He has got the potential to go on and do really well. I'm sure our supporters will view him as a very exciting young talent," Spireites boss Paul Cook said.
Speaking to the club website, Ariyibi added: "The lads have welcomed me and I just want to do well for the club. The manager believes in me. I just want to take my chance and show what I'm about."
Chesterfield travel to Port Vale in League One on Saturday.
