Connah's Quay Nomads sign ex-Wrexham forward Jay Colbeck

Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League side Gap Connah's Quay Nomads have signed ex-Wrexham forward Jay Colbeck.

Colbeck, 20, was released by Wrexham at the end of the season having made 12 appearances after graduating from the club's academy.

The 20-year-old spent part of last season on loan at Bangor City and played in their play-off final win over Rhyl.

"[Manager] Mark [McGregor] sold the club to me straight away with his aims for the season and the way he wants the team to play."

Meanwhile Nomads will face Romanian giants Dinamo Bucharest in a pre-season friendly at Deeside Stadium on Wednesday, 2 July.

McGregor's side will also host PFC Ludogorets Razgrad of Bulgaria on Saturday, 5 July.
