Chester have signed striker Danny Carlton on loan from already-relegated Hyde until the end of the season.
The 30-year-old joined Hyde at the start of the campaign after his release by Morecambe but has scored just one goal in 24 league appearances.
Carlton and Craig Hobson have arrived at Chester in the past week as they look to boost their forward options.
"We're pleased to be able to add Danny. We are working hard to strengthen for the run-in," said boss Steve Burr.
Chester are still waiting on permission to see if Carlton can play in Tuesday's game against Southport.
