Cheltenham Town 2-1 Bury

Cheltenham won for only the fourth time at Whaddon Road this season as they came from behind to beat Bury.

Veteran striker Clive Platt tapped in Daniel Nardiello's pass to put the visitors ahead after 16 minutes.

Ashley Vincent levelled within minutes, finishing well after Jamie Cureton's through ball had sent him clear.

Both sides wasted chances to score after the break before substitute Byron Harrison grabbed the winner from close range eight minutes from time.

Mark Yates: Cheltenham Town manager on win against Bury

"There are still things we need to improve on. We're not kidding ourselves. We started a bit quiet and slow but I thought we got into to the game more and more.

"Troy Brown did well. He was great. He trained on Thursday. I watched him do his functional stuff and we had to throw him back in."

"Confidence has been one of the things that has been missing a little bit throughout the season. Winning games gives you confidence. Hopefully we can build on that for next week."

Bury manager David Flitcroft told BBC Radio Manchester:

"A draw would have been an acceptable point for us, so there's a tinge of disappointment.

"We gave a thing where we work on a certain aspect of what we do and, as soon as a team scores you're at your most vulnerable and you have to lock the pitch down.

"It's no good just passing the ball and moving it well in the middle third if you can't hurt teams."
