Cameroon and Germany will play a friendly in Monchengladbach on 1 June ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

After leading the Indomitable Lions to next year's finals, coach Volker Finke had expressed his desire to set up a meeting with his homeland.

Germany have been drawn to face Ghana, United States and Portugal in Group G and were keen to secure African opponents in their build-up.

Cameroon will play hosts Brazil, Croatia and Mexico in Group A.
