Scotland manager Gordon Strachan says he will re-jig his side for Tuesday's friendly match against Norway.

Ikechi Anya, Russell Martin and Craig Bryson were unused substitutes in Friday's 0-0 draw with the US.

"There'll be people who we didn't put on tonight because we knew they were going to have a full game on Tuesday," Strachan told BBC Radio Scotland.

"There were things that reaffirm what I think. We've got one or two things to work on."

The last Scotland match at Hampden ahead of Glasgow's 2014 Commonwealth Games was a dull affair, with only three shots on target between the two teams.

Jurgen Klinsmann's United States side had two of those, with only Robert Snodgrass's free-kick troubling visiting goalkeeper Tim Howard.

"We've also got our final pass [to work on]," said Strachan.

"Get that in, or the second to last pass, to keep it going. We're doing better at retaining the ball, but we have to find these passes, important passes through people.

"I thought in the last 20 minutes our front four played really flat to each other. That's something we need to have a look at."

The US came into the match having won 15 of their previous 16 games and are ranked 13th in the world - 22 places above the Scots.

"They're up there with Belgium on the physical side," said Strachan.

"They were big, big boys - good athletes. When you're playing against athletes like that you have to be sharper than them. That's how you can combat their physical side."

Tuesday's friendly against Norway in Molde is the final Scotland match before the Euro 2016 qualifying draw in February.

Strachan doubts anything major will change about his thoughts on the squad before then.

"I'll be very surprised if something really strange comes up and makes me feel differently," he added.

"Listen, we've had a nice surprise over the last three or four months with individuals. If I can get that again, that would be great.

"But as a team shape, I don't think anything will surprise me."
