Hibernian fail with appeal against Liam Craig's two-match ban

Hibernian midfielder Liam Craig is accused by Hearts player Ryan Stevenson

Hibernian midfielder Liam Craig has failed to overturn a two-match ban for violent conduct.

Craig was cited for attempting to kick Hearts' Ryan Stevenson in the face during his side's 1-0 League Cup defeat at Easter Road.

And a Scottish FA judicial panel ruled the breach of discipline proven.

The midfielder will miss Saturday's Premiership encounter at home to Inverness Caley Thistle and the next League Cup tie.
