'Difficult' season frustrates Johnson

Sunderland midfielder Adam Johnson admits it is "difficult" to see his side at the bottom of the Premier League, but backs new manager Gus Poyet to do well.

Poyet was appointed Black Cats head coach on a two-year deal, succeeding Paolo Di Canio, who was sacked in September after only 13 games in charge.

Johnson says it is "still early" to predict Sunderland's season, adding "it's amazing what a couple of wins can do".
