Burton defender Marcus Holness is available again after suspension while striker Billy Kee is banned after his sending off against Southend last week.

Goalkeeper Dean Lyness is expected to return to the bench and Rory Delap has resumed training after a hamstring injury, but remains doubtful.

Burton Albion manager Gary Rowett told BBC Radio Derby:

"There is always a little bit of rivalry with Chesterfield I think. One season we managed to beat them three times and they went up that season, so they had a fantastic team as well.

"That won't stand for an awful lot at this point. We've just got to go there and make sure we respect that they are a very good side.

"They are at the top for a reason. We have got to make sure that we work really hard on our gameplan, and whatever we chose to do on the day, to get a result."
