Dag and Red 2-1 Bury

Goals either side of the half-time interval gave Dagenham a deserved victory over Bury in League Two.

Afolabi Obafemi gave the hosts the lead, smashing a superb left-footed shot past Bury goalkeeper Trevor Carson on 44 minutes.

The Daggers doubled their lead shortly after the restart through Rhys Murphy, who slotted home.

Anton Forrester pulled a goal back for the Shakers with an 89th-minute penalty after Bingham had handled in the box.

Wayne Burnett's Daggers remain unbeaten at home this season and are now without defeat in their last five games.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Bury manager Kevin Blackwell told BBC Radio Manchester:

"I just feel that we're better than our results are reflecting at the moment, but we're not transferring that onto the pitch.

"We were totally comfortable, there was absolutely no threat whatsoever, and then they get a goal out of nothing. All of a sudden you're on the back foot.

"This was three points that we should have had and I'm disappointed that we haven't done it. The players have let themselves down and the travelling fans."
