Mark Lawrenson's Premier League predictions

BBC Sport expert Mark Lawrenson

BBC Sport football expert Mark Lawrenson is pitting his wits against a different guest each week this season.

This week he took on Tottenham supporter Nicky Wire, bass player and lyricist of Welsh band Manic Street Preachers.

Spurs fan Nicky Wire's predictions

Wire was captain of the Welsh national schoolboys' team aged 14 and had trials with Arsenal and Tottenham before knee injuries and the lure of eyeliner and rock music took hold.

Will it be a case of 'From Despair To Where' for Wire's guesses? Or will he condemn Lawro to the 'Archives of Pain' with an emphatic win?

A correct result is worth ONE point. A correct score earns THREE points.

Last week, Lawro got six results right, with no perfect scores. His score of six saw him beat MotoGP star Cal Crutchlow, whose two correct results with no perfect scores gave him two points.

This season, we will be keeping a record of the total scores for Lawro and his guests (below), and showing a table of how the Premier League would look if all of Lawro's predictions were correct (also at the bottom of the page).
