Dundee United's Gavin Gunning faces a Scottish FA hearing on Thursday after rejecting a three-match ban for violent conduct.
The defender allegedly breached disciplinary rule 200 by "kicking or attempting to kick" Celtic's Virgil Van Dijk during Saturday's 1-0 defeat.
Dundee United confirmed they refused the fixed suspension of three games offered to Gunning.
The Tangerines' next game is away to Ross County on 15 September.
Former Blackburn defender Gunning had just returned from a two-game ban against Celtic after being sent off in a match away to Hibernian in August.
